Thomas "Bugs" Bayer - Lifter of the Decade
Allan Siegel - Member of the Decade
Doug Mignot - Lifter of the Year
Reasons:
NO one has been more active in the ten-year history of the ADAU than Bugsy. He has lifted at virtually every meet ever held in Bigler and Erie, as well as most meets that we (Twin City PL Club) have held in Catasauqua and Lehighton, plus traveled to Maryland, etc...
Not only does he compete but he is the first one to arrive and the last one to leave both enjoying the overall experience AND coaching and mentoring other lifters. While I realize that this is for the "Lifter" of the Decade, it still bears mentioning that Bugs is a National Referee and has judged at most all ADAU meets ever held! While a few others may have more titles, Bugs, in my opinion, is the "heart and soul" of the ADAU! This must be recognized and acknowledged!
Big Al - Without his leadership ten years, ago there would not be an ADAU!
I can not think of anyone who was more impressive and consistent with his lifting in the previous year than Doug Mignot. Plus, he is a true champion, a very powerful yet humble human being who has served his country! Doug is deserving of this award.

Those seem like easy choices for me from an overall perspective.
I don't feel that I have the data to vote for a specific 2009 Lifter.

69.78.129.26As I stated in the original post; Ramon Cruz and his (7) National titles in (2) classes and Elite total gets my vote for Lifter of the decade, Big Al for all of his work is my member of the decade and Doug Mignot going from 1320 in `08 to 1600 in `09 is my vote for lifter of the year.
