No, what I am asking is that if you can outlift the single lift record in the course of a 3 lift meet, that you be credited with the single lift record as well as the 3 lift mark for the record lift.
If someone achieves a higher single lift record, then, at the risk of using a cliche, more power to him. Effectively, a lift achieved in a 3 lift powerlifting event would also qualify as a single lift lift, for record purposes. But not the reverse. So they would still be separate, just not as separate.
