I also have a four year old son that refuses to sleep no matter what we do. I would be very interested in knowing what presecription medications are out there and safe for young children so that they will have a restful night's sleep.
Thanks,
tammy

: We have a four year old with Digeorge
: syndrome. He hardly sleeps at all.
: He will eventally fall asleep around
: 10pm and wake at 4:30am. We have
: many sleepless nights you are not
: alone. He has been taken to a
: psychlogist and perscriped something
: to help him and it seems to be
: slowly working.

: Our daughter is 2 years old. She
: was
: dignosed with Digeorge Syndrome in
: her 1st week of life. She had Open
: heart surgery at 3 months old, to
: remove a Vascular ring and to repair
: 2 VSD's. She is doing quite well
: today. She is a very bright child
: as far as understanding goes. She
: is starting to speak. She is slowly
: potty training.
:
: We are having a terrible time at
: night to get her to bed. She still
: sleeps in a crib, she has shown no
: interest into moving into a bed. We
: have it in her room already.
: Sometimes she doesn't sleep through
: the night, we made the mistake of
: bringin her into our bed. Last
: night I set up her playpen in our
: room and explained to her that if
: she was going to sleep in our room
: that is where she has to sleep. She
: went right to sleep. This was after
: being in the crib and crying for 1/2
: hour. Does anyone else have
: sleepless nights? We are up at
: least 3 nights a week.
