Newborn with TOF

I have a 6 week old with mild TOF. He is going to have surgery when he 6 months. I am concerned because he does not make consistent eye contact and rarely smiles. I know they looked him over in the hospital for signs of Digeorge but didn't see anything that alarmed them at the time. I am just wondering if anybody else saw these signs in their child. I don't know if I am being paranoid. Please let me know your thoughts.
