Dawn, our son is now 17mths old, he also has low set ears but like your daughter, "looks normal to everyone else". He was alittle delayed physically but is now on target after 6wks of PT. He began walking at 15 1/2 months. We are now seeing an Immunologist. Although he has not been sick, he has no titer to tetanus, so no metal toys for him. We are also staying away from the community as much as possible, especially during the current flu season. Glad to hear your daughter is doing so well. Look forward to seeing an update as she grows. : Well our little girl is almost 6
: months old now. She is beautiful
: and absolutely a treasure. Aside
: fom the Tetralogy of Fallot, which
: is awaiting repair, she doesn't seem
: to be lifting her soft palate and
: has tiny lowish ears and the
: characteristic look to her face.
: She is a bit behind in her early
: infant development, but even just
: having the heart defect can cause
: that. She is quite alert and aside
: from being tiny (she is a petite 16
: lbs) she appears normal to most
: people. Right now we are juggling
: keeping her well and out of crowds
: and public places while doing normal
: stuff with our older kids. I think
: it hs been stressful on them too.
