Hi Brenda, have a case conference which a parent can request at any time. In your child's IEP (Individualized Education Plan) have it written what accomodations and modifications need to be in place for her regarding each concern. If it is written in the IEP they need to follow it. There are advocate agencies in each state for children with disabilities. In the state of Indiana they have a group called IPIN, which I call to help me with school issues. In addition,I think if you talk to each person that works with your child that is helpful. God's Blessings. Nancy

: Hello Brenda. I think the best
: possible thing you can do is to sit
: down and talk to people that
: directly work with your child.
: Explain her condition to them,
: explain to then the kind of care and
: attention that she needs. Not every
: speical child is the same. Every
: single one of them have different
: needs and their caregivers need to
: understand that. I know you get
: tired of trying to make people
: understand, but they are never going
: to understand until we educate them.
: More often than not that job is
: ours.
:
: I hope this helps.
