I brought my son who has 22q into the store in his car seat until he could sit up which was around 13 mos, and put it in the body of the cart. I don't know how old your child is or how big. I just remember that my son's car seat was huge. I limited my shopping to what fit around him. My son who has Down Syndrome actually could sit up at a younger age and was climbing out of everything. I backpacked him for awhile. Perhaps that would work for your child. I had to shorten shopping trips with the boys (who are 8 years apart)unlike when I just had my girls along, but I got good at precision shopping. Good luck!

: I want to know what people/moms do
: with their special needs children
: when they go grocery shopping. My
: son can't sit up on his own, so he
: can't sit in the shopping cart, but
: he's getting too big for his
: carrying car seat. I really don't
: want to push a stroller and pull a
: shopping cart at the same time. But
: I also don't want to take him away
: from the outside world. So what do
: you do?
