Hip Surgery

Hello everyone. It's been a while since I last posted on this board but I hope that you all can help me. My son Nathaniel, who is now 8, is having double hip surgery Dec 14. Both of his hips are out of place and it seems to be causing him some pain, which his doctor says will only get worse over time. What I want to know is have any of your children underwent this surgery? How did the surgery and recovery go, and what to expect overall? I appreciate any insight you can give me into this procedure. Thank you.
