My son had a pharyngeal flap repair in 1 1/2 ago at 6 years of age. He had a Z-0 plasty done at 4 with no success. The apnea following was baaad!! It sounded like a freight train. Once his swelling went down, it did take a couple of months, the apnea disapeared. The surgery in my mind was a success, he is talking better every day, though it took a full year.
