Lisa, I have also lost a baby to vcfs. I have had 6 children. My first son died, my second is living with vcfs and my third son, as well as my three daughters do not carry the deletion. I've read that if you or the father is a carrier then the child has a 50-50 chance
of having the deletion.Alot of cases occur de nova (without either parent having the deletion). I chose to do the amnio with my last son. I felt if he was positive I could have a team ready to help with any problems.Thank God he tested negative. I wish you all the luck. God bless you.
