sleep apnea post surgery

Hello, just a quick question to anyone that has been through pharyngoplasty or z-plasty!!! My son has developed sleep apnea during REM. The respiratory doc wants to reverse the pharyngoplasty, the plastic surgeon wants his to have c-pap and my ENT is thinking of doin a tonsillectomy!!!! Has anyone else been in this situation, if so what has your outcome been? We are due to go back at end of Feb..... Any advice would be helpful its terribly upsetting to think that he went through that operation just to have to have it taken down....or now knowing it has caused more problems Thanks Melonie mum to hayden 6 connor (vcfs) 4 and tyler 3
