Posted by Yasmin Very interesting message. My daughter with 22q11 is only 2 1/2 years old but anything I could do now to help her later would be great! How did you research which minerals and supplements you should take to help improve memory retention etc? Over what length of time did you start to notice results? Thank you for sharing. Its so uplifting to read about successful adults with VCFS! --Previous Message--

Hi Emma
: :
: I was diagnosed with a mild case
: of VCFS at a young age. Due to lack
: of resurch and data, I had
: difficulty in Highschool and just
: got by.
:
: When I turned 22, I was diagnosed
: with ADD. I 'am in Part-Time
: College, and working Part-Time and
: find no difficulty in keeping up
: with courses and material.
:
: It was mentioned in a previous
: post that there is little reasurch
: on VCFS impacting Adulthood,
: Nutrition, Psychosocial,and
: Cognitive Development. I 'am
: beginning to develop a keen interest
: in this area and find that the
: fallowing lifestyle changes have
: helped :
: memory retention
: Energy
: Overall health
:
: I 'am studying Nutrition and Early
: Child Hood Education. While
: studying, I decided to adopt a
: Vegetarian Diet (no meat or Diary)
: next year plan to become Vegan. I
: find, my energy level has improved,
: and Omega 3, Fatty Acids, Flaxseed
: suppliments, has had a considerable
: effect on my memory retention.
: Primrose, Black Ogosh, Garlic
: (nonscented)
: has also had a positive outcome on
: my immune system. I feel like a
: person with a new body, but I admit
: it has taken alot of time and
: reasurch.
:
: Any Questions, Don't Hesitate to ask
: me.
