Its a start that the NIMH is coming out of the dark ages. Now they need to take a look at what percentage of people with severe mental illness have the deletion.
For example if of the 6 milion with SZ and bipolar - if 25% have the deletion thats 1 in 250 people. If all have the deletion thats 1 in 50. And that does not count any other psychiatric problem like ADHD or depression. Sure would knock the current statistics on the occcurrance out of the water and make this a major epidemic.
