V = Display case (vitrine is German for showcase)
S = Painted Decks
T = Camouflage (Tarnung in German)
R = PE Railings
So NE 1336aRTV would be US heavy cruiser Salt Lake City, in camouflage scheme with PE railings in a display case.
Usually if it was Spider Navy it came with some rigging though there was never a specific letter associated with that that I am aware of.
Navis-Neptun would also offer painted deck versions "S" independent of Spider Navy. They could offer those in any ships that had separate removable turrets. So you will see "S" models without the "V"- no display case.
Does anyone know or remember the lettering nomenclature for the Spider Navy models? For example: SN-NT 1035aSV Lützow ex Germany (deck painting, covered, display case). The aSV meant how the model was detailed. But, which letter meant denoted denoted the actual detail.
