I have two exceptionally well-done scratch-built Admiralen's by Cy Broman. They differ from one another in AA mounts amidships, a difference not reflected in the new models. However, they are clearly from a different period in the parent ship's lives as the Bromans have the A/C stowage fittings removed and a larger ship's boat in its place. Its also interesting that the Broman's are perceptably larger than the CDs, reflecting the difference between 1/1200 and 1/1250. Move them apart by two inches, though, and the difference wouldn't register.
If you are a WWII buff and haven't gotten to know the folks at Nanomaquettes and Christian Dey, you should do so. Their models are really very nice.
