Liberté (represented by Navis Verite) blew up at Toulon 25 September 1911 with the loss of 286 men.
Vanguard (Navis) blew up at Scapa Flow 9 July 1917 with the loss of 843 men.
Mutsu (Neptun) blew up in Hiroshima Bay 8 June 1943 with the loss of 1,121 crew and visitors.
Jeff and Jim are each part right. The ships are from the left: Liberte; Vanguard; and Mutsu. All destroyed by accidental magazine explosions. First 2 are Navis, third appears to be Neptun. French Liberte was a Verite class BB.
Happy New Year to ALL. Let's hope 2022 is a little kinder to the world than 2021.
To start the New Year off, here is a new History Quiz: identify these ships (and models) and a historical connection between them. Take the model on the left as generic for her class.
