Re: Touching up Paint on Ships
I see the ship list posted on here, I remember the Saratoga and Lexington were sister ships in their class. But I only see the Saratoga listed on the Pilot list. Was there a Lexington? Or was one painted up that way?
I have three photos from you, all of the Pilot LEXINGTON. The paint on that model looks intact, but the model is dirty and I would try washing it in warm soapy water.
Paul and Kevin,
I'm not concerned with the resale value, I just want these ships to look good. I did sell off the commercial ships from the collection, I would like to concentrate on the warships. From the looks of it the vast majority of the models are Navis, Neptun, Mercator for the 1/1200 ones. Plus I believe I spoke to Paul last year about several carriers that were from earlier producers (carriers where I sent you some pictures). I can't find that email Paul!
For the recognition and Superior models, I just want them to look good too. Which may mean sculpting a couple of missing turrets, replacing masts, etc, which I already mentioned. For the old ships like you two mentioned, I'll post them up here and see what I should of should not do to them.
