Yasukawa Maru (Kawasaki Kisen: 6770 total tons)
It was purchased and repaired from the English ship "Silver Cypress" that was severely damaged by a fire accident. In 1941, the army was requisitioned the ship and it was active as an air defense ship during the Pacific War. On November 2, 42, after being attacked by US military aircraft in the Strait of Dumper, it became non-navigable and was disposed of by the bombardment of a marine vessel "ÍJ".

Launched in Dec 1930 as Silver Cypress, Silver line London, purchased by Kawasaki Kisen in 1939.
Damaged by US Aircraft and scuttled off New Britain Island on 15 Nov 42.
