I recently picked up the NEPTUN N-1393P PECOS (Pearl Harbor) AO-65 model. I was buying up the Neptun Pearl Harbor series and decided to add this one to the order before really looking into the role this ship played in the attack.
Now I get some ships are representing the class, so like the case of NEPTUNE N-1393aP CIMARRON (Pearl Harbor) AO-22, this ship is there to represent USS Neosho AO-23, that was between the USS Maryland and USS California during the attack.
That said, I don't see what the Pescos or any other AO from that class in the attack on Pearl. With the Neosho already represented, I think the only other AO present during the Pearl Harbor raid was USS Ramapo (AO-12). This ship does not seem to be very close to the Pecos, if anything it would be closer to the Cimarron class AO.
So why is Neptun putting this model out in the Pearl Harbor series? What am I missing?
