: Not your imagination at all. :>) The
: Bachmann was simply the Revell Arizona kit
: pantographed down to 1:1200 scale. Revell
: Arizona errors are Bachmann Arizona errors.
: They came pre-painted but not all that
: great a paint job. There were other ships
: in the series like CVN-65 but they were all
: different scales. Only the Arizona (to my
: recollection) was 1:1200 scale. Its not
: that easy to find these.

: Years ago I swore up and down on this board
: that I recalled having see as a child a
: plastic 1/1200 model of a US WWII BB (to my
: mind looking like the Arizona). Again and
: again folks chimed in with "Nope. Never
: made one." Well, can I feel vindicated
: now? I just got through looking at the
: latest feature on on the main page, dealing
: with US dreadnoughts. And, low and
: behold.... here's the caption copied from
: one of the illustrations....
: Models are NM 303 (class as built), USS
: Pennsylvania: AR-207 (as in 1939), N-1306a
: (1945) & N-1306ax (1945 in Measure
: 21 blue); USS Arizona: N-1306 (1940) and
: rare plastic Bachmann Miniship 1/1200
: version (both 1940).
: So? Might it not have been my imagination
: after all? :-)
