thx for sharing your Report and of cause the photo album. Very nice!!!
Here in Germany we do not have such meetings in private houses. Our collectors Meetings in Hamburg take place all 4 weeks in a School building where approx 20 to 25 people come together.
As Harald mentioned, Masters of Military is a relatively new Producer of 3D printed 1250 ship models. I am a collector and in the last year I got familiary with MoM and we decided to work together. You can get every MoM 3D printed model ready made and painted form me.
My Homepage: www.cd-miniaturen.de
Here is the link to the WW I IJN Katori:

The packageing to the USA is aprox 10 EUR, so not too bad. If some collectors from 1 area are interested in some models, you also can Combine shipment to one us you.
But pls notice: I am doing the models just in my free time in the evenings and Weekends so maybe you have to wait some time fr your models. But be sure: you will get them!
If you have any questions, pls do not hesitate to contact me.
Many greetings from Germany
Christian

: For the 29th time in almost 9 years, we held
: our meeting, this time at Paul Jacobs house.
: Despite the set backs with some illnesses,
: and despite the fact that our very Northern
: California friend Bill could not make it
: down to us through the snow, we were still
: 16 participants. George Isham of New Mexico
: flew in for our meeting. In addition to
: enjoying all of our activities, this was the
: first visit from George to see Paul's
: fabulous collections of 1250 models
: displayed in 3 rooms, plus his extensive
: collection of maritime oil paintings and his
: vast library of maritime books. George told
: us that in Sante Fe, NM, the extend of his
: 1250 meetings is a regular visit with Doug
: Knowlton, Rio Grande Models.
: As you can see in my photo album below,
: Paul's large dining room table and 2 side
: tables were loaded, again, with new and
: second hand models.
: In November 2016, during our last SMSC
: meeting, Steve Cowdin had donated two 1/200
: models to the USS Iowa Museum: USS Iowa and
: USS Arizona. As a thank you, the staff of
: the Iowa gave Steve the kit of a 1/200
: Bismarck. Steve brought his work-in-process.
: You can see this impressive model in my
: photo album.
: Paul had just received a shipment from
: Shapeways. The IJN Katori, from MoM, is
: probably one of the finest detailed models
: that we have seen so far from Shapeways. You
: can see the kit straight out of the box in
: my album. And for your information, this
: model is also available in finished painted
: form from CD1250 in Germany.
: John Youngerman brought 30 of his new
: models. And I can let you in on a little
: secret: in return for attending our
: meetings, John will sell his models at a
: nice discount.
:
: During the formal sit down part of our
: meeting, Phil Woodruff showed us the
: Certificate of Appreciation from the
: Veterans Day Santana Row event. Our group
: will participate again this year, but at
: more central visibly location.
: We will also participate again at the Spirit
: of '45 event in San Jose in August. Phil
: Woodruff will be in charge, again.
: And if that is not enough, we have been
: approached by the organizers of the 4th of
: July parade in Morgan Hill for an exhibit on
: the evening of the 3rd of July. Harold
: Andrews will coordinate this event.
: Harold Andrews still has our large SMSC
: banner that Tom had created for the SMSC
: meeting in San Jose---it has come to many
: uses.
: Barry Schrock will coordinate our possible
: participation at a Modeller Show the 2nd
: weekend in May at the Alameda Air Museum.
: And if anyone is interested in a visit to
: Las Vegas: The Civil War Round Table will
: hold their event in June. Contact Barry
: Schrock for details.
: Last, but not least, we discussed at length
: our upcoming SMSC meeting at Kingspoint, NY.
: See the announcement from John Olsen further
: down. Several of our West Coast members are
: planning to attend. I, for one, am very much
: looking forward to seeing Kingspoint again,
: and also to seeing many of our other US
: collectors.
:
: We have penciled in Saturday, July 28 for
: our next meeting, place to be announced.
