Without a dated picture of Goodwin I reserve comment on the armament - she seems to be rather an anonymous ship. (Nice looking model though).
: I just received the new Spider Navy SN-2-10
: model of Goodwin, an auxiliary AA vessel
: (coastal). It's a really nice crisp model,
: as we expect from Spider Navy. The box
: label was "MFA Goodwin 1942". My
: acronym finder suggests that MFA might stand
: for Mercantile Fleet Auxiliary, but I had
: not heard of this term before. Searching on
: the web, it seems to be more applicable to
: World War One vessels. Can anybody comment
: on this?
: Also, my Lenton & Colledge reference
: gives some minimal information, that Goodwin
: was first an ocean boarding vessel before
: becoming an auxiliary AA vessel in 1941.
: They credit it with only one 12pdr and five
: 20mm, but the model clearly shows one
: additional gun larger than 20mm gun -
: perhaps a 2pdr and 12pdr or perhaps a 12pdr
: and 4inch. Does any one have more info on
