Just for fun. In sea navigation rule the right of way priority being to the ship coming from right side (starboard) and always priority must be to a sailship under sails in all case is rather a 'legend' in books than in reality. Once I was on my little sloop of 20 feet sailship coming on right side of a large ferry boat of 6000 t taking speed from the harbor way out. We were pretty close and sure of my double priority (On right side and sailship) I just kept my way for a while this a bit hazardous just to see if the ferry would steer to give me the way otherwise collision would've been unavoidable!!! :-) Sure that the guys didn't care on the bridge up there so hight over me .. to smaller ships to steer their own huge ship because there are some "little mousses" doing 'boating' on their way and they didn't stired of 1 inch and too bad for the sea rule ... :-) Just in time I got it 'might be best' to steer on right to be parallel to their way "by courtesy" before to be 'scratched' on their hull during 300 feet of their length just to check if the sea rule is respected ... :-)))
