1. It appears that the destroyer's hull may be seriously deformed on the starboard side, as if bent downward at the point of impact. But not merely bent downwards, but V shaped from bow to stern.
2. The container ship shows significant scrapping along the PORT bow. This means that the two ships were traveling in the same direction. Thus they were either running parallel but on a converging course, or else one of them made a sudden turn into the path of the other.
